“Sampurna Montfort family…… The Bonding is Still on…………”Being a part of Montfort has been one of the best experiences of my life. There is something beautiful about this non-threatening and encouraging environment that help you grow not only in your fullest and does so in a delicate manner. And the constant guidance is something you can never get enough of. And if you are having a bad day, all you need to do is sit on the lawn. Something definitely cheer you up.
Sampurna Montfort family accepted me as a family member in July 2015 and from the day one, I have been showered with immense love, care and warmth from everybody here. This is the place to be where one gets to interact and learn from people from varied cultural, ethnic background. One best message this family has taught me is to accept everyone for who they are and give them an opportunity to grow.
My first day of Montfort, one of the professors conducted an activity in which she participated too. It was an ice breaker for us freshers and the game was ``Two truths and a lie``. Each of us had to say two truths and a lie and the rest of the group would figure out what the lie was. I have never seen a teacher participate in an activity just like students. She even asked her to call her by her name. It was like she was telling us indirectly ``We are equal. I'm not above you. You are not above me``. Would you believe me if I said that the entire Montfort is like this? The Professors, the non teaching staff, the principal, even we as students learn to respect ourselves and others in our two years. I don't see anything more important for a mental health professional than the respect we give to our fellow human beings.
A place rich in human-ness. A place where kindness is palpable. A place where people are reborn. I came here looking for passion, I found something more, I found myself. What you learn here, is not just psychology but how to live; how to be. Almost every person, even the environment resonates the same. It's a pool of positivity. A pool of possibility.
